Any development that revolves around sustainable building has to be based on the same knowledge: an understanding of the issues and topics that are pertinent to sustainable building. 
The Registered Professional course is aimed at young professionals, students, and keen stakeholders within the construction and real estate industry, and beyond, who would like to acquire knowledge about sustainable building and planning.
The compact three day training provides participants with an insight into sustainability in the construction and real estate industry. The course is set up in small groups. Interactive exercises ensure close participation and interaction within the group. During six 90 minutes online sessions participants gain knowledge in following fields of sustainable planning, construction and operation of buildings: 

• Designing and evaluating sustainability
• Holistic design and construction
• Design and social issues
• Health and User Satisfaction
• Life cycle oriented design
• Life cycle assessment
• Preserving resources and the environment
• Integrated design

After participating, an online exam qualifies the participant as Registered Professional. The knowledge on sustainable building taught in this course provides the optimal foundations for those professionals seeking to become DGNB Consultants or DGNB Auditors.

International DGNB Consultant

The DGNB Consultant training is aimed at key players in the construction and real estate industry with prior professional experience. In general terms, the training builds on the basic knowledge taught at the DGNB Registered Professional.
DGNB Consultants carry out auditing work for DGNB Certificates and Pre-certificates for buildings and districts. The training to become a DGNB Consultant entails you to work closely with the design team and the client during the design and construction process within the meaning of the DGNB Certification. As members of the DGNB Community, DGNB Consultants also help to implement the international application and adaptation of the DGNB System.
As international DGNB Consultant you are specialized to adapt the DGNB System to local requirements. In countries with DGNB System Partners there are locally adapted versions already available and special training might be needed.
During 8 online sessions, participants will learn about the international application of the DGNB Certification System (Version 2020, international) for sustainable buildings and districts. Two complementary digital workshops assure the practical application of selected DGNB criteria. This way participants gain comprehensive knowledge on the DGNB Certification, the evaluation methodology and the adaptation of individual criteria to local requirements. 
To qualify as DGNB Consultants, participants need to take and pass the DGNB Consultant exam.
The exam is done online in a separate appointment and can be taken within a period of 24 months after the training course. In general, an average of 40 learning-hours is recommended to ensure passing the exam, but this might vary depending on individual prior knowledge.

Criteria and indicators of smart sustainable cities

Urban specialists, municipalities and municipal service organizations are the main audiences of the course. What you need to know as an expert in the field of sustainable smart cities, you will learn in this online course for 3 days.
After passing this course, you can answer the following questions and receive an international certificate from "United Cities" as an expert in the field of smart sustainable cities.

Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

This International Standard (ISO 14025) establishes the principles and specifies the procedures for developing Type III environmental declaration programs and Type III environmental declarations. It specifically establishes the use of the ISO 14040 series of standards in the development of Type III environmental declaration programs and Type III environmental declarations. 

This International Standard establishes principles for the use of environmental information, in addition to those given in ISO 14020.  

EN 15804 specifies the basic rules for EPDs in the category of building products. These fundamental product category rules ensure that all EPDs for construction products, building activities, and construction processes are derived, depicted, and verified in a uniform manner.
